The vacuum is created by pulling the piston (chain) and therefore does not need an additional source. The manipulator is equipped with a vacuum manometer and optical-acoustic signaling , which alerts the operator in case of loss of pressure.

This vacuum lifter, more commonly called "mechanical suction cup", is very popular in the fields of metallurgy and aeronautics because it has the following advantages compared to traditional electric / pneumatic vacuum lifters:

• Simplicity of implementation: No pneumatic or electric connection is to be expected, which is an additional cost in the case of the acquisition of an electric or pneumatic lifter. In addition, electrical or pneumatic consumption will also be an additional cost to be paid when using the device.

• Ease of use: Each time the lifter is used, when it is set up at the end of the bridge / jib crane / etc. no connection is required. Just put the lifting ring in place.

• Ease of maintenance: With the exception of the safety box powered by 2 LR6 batteries, the entire system is mechanical. The failure rate is lower than on electric suction cups and the maintenance costs are reduced.
